About I Want To Showcase

I Want to Showcase is a collaboration between Ontario Contact and Contact East, and their goal is simple: to offer artists applying to showcase a site that is easy to navigate, understand and use. In developing IWTS, it became clear that Ontario Contact and Contact East were so similar in their showcase applications that the process could be streamlined into one format. This multi-conference application system not only serves a need in both organizations but also saves artists time and money. This new approach makes sense on a number of levels as it allows the artist to apply online to one or multiple showcases at a time, to receive a discount for applying to more than one showcase, and then to pay for it all at the same time and place.

Contact East and Ontario Contact are happy to work jointly in order to serve this need in our market, and we think you will find this method simple, refreshing and convenient.

We welcome our partner conferences as they join us in working together for the benefit of our artists.

Alberta Showcase 2012

Fort Saskatchewan, AB (Oct 11-14, 2012)

Now in its 35th year, Alberta Showcase brings touring artists together with community presenters searching for artists for special events, series and community celebrations. It is four days that will inspire you!

Every October the Arts Touring Alliance of Alberta brings together presenters from across Alberta who are searching for artists who will tour to their communities. Many of these soft-seat presenters offer subcription series. They are looking for a diverse, challenging line-up of artists with broad audience appeal. Alberta Showcase 2012 will take place October 11-14 in Fort Saskatchewan. All applications are reviewed by a jury, and the top applicants are selected.

"When Lewis and I discovered SHOWCASE we began getting great gigs, and lots of them. Our gig fee bumped up to another stratosphere, the venues we played were no longer bars, and we began to improve as performers, and it became more about the music."

"I was so thrilled to be involved with Showcase and it has made a huge difference to my 2011-2012 tours."
